Frequently asked questions

Everything about how MetiRecon reconciles your data, what it supports and how privacy and billing work.

What is data reconciliation?

Comparing two versions of the same data set to confirm they agree and to identify every record that was added, removed or changed. It is a daily task in finance, accounting, audit and data migration. See our step-by-step guide.

Which file formats are supported?

MetiRecon reads CSV, TSV, Excel (XLSX), JSON, XML, fixed-width and FIX, with flexible delimiter and encoding handling and exports reports as PDF, Excel or CSV.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The reconciliation engine runs entirely on your device. Internet is only needed to start or renew your subscription.

Where does my data go?

It stays entirely on your device. MetiRecon never uploads your files or collects telemetry, and all processing happens locally. Your files never leave your computer.

What are keys and tolerances?

A key uniquely identifies a record so rows can be matched across both files. A tolerance lets near-equal values (like a rounding cent) count as equal, alongside case-insensitive matching and whitespace trimming.

How large a file can it handle?

MetiRecon uses a native offline engine built to process large files quickly - well beyond what is comfortable in a spreadsheet. See Excel vs MetiRecon.

Which platforms are supported?

macOS via the Mac App Store and Windows via the Microsoft Store.

How much does it cost?

€9.99 per month or €99.99 per year, each with a 14-day free trial. See pricing for details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Microsoft Store and can be cancelled there at any time.
